Community Foundation of West Texas Awards Over $38,000 from the Goodfellows Community Campaign Fund

The Community Foundation of West Texas (CFWT) is pleased to announce the awarding of Community Campaign Fund grants totaling $38,157.50 to four local non-profit organizations. The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal Goodfellows program began decades ago to help those less fortunate. Human compassion and the giving spirit builds community one person at a time. It continues today with funds to Big Brothers Big Sisters, CASA of the South Plains, Family Guidance & Outreach Center of Lubbock, and the Ronald McDonald House who help our friends and neighbors.

The Community Foundation of West Texas currently administers two hundred and ninety-six (296) funds with assets exceeding $43 million. Hundreds of grants and scholarships are awarded each year to address community needs in the areas of education, social services, health and human services, arts and culture, and civic and community. The Community Foundation of West Texas exists to help people who care about the Lubbock and the South Plains area to invest - at any level - in its future.
