We are writing to share an important update regarding Giving Tuesday WTX.
After thoughtful consideration, the Community Foundation of West Texas has made the decision to discontinue hosting Giving Tuesday WTX and moving to the National Platform. We are incredibly proud of the accomplishments over the last 12 years and deeply grateful for the impact it has helped create for organizations across our region.
Since its inception, Giving Tuesday has evolved significantly into a global movement that no longer requires the management of a lead organization to participate successfully. Today, nonprofits have direct access to the same fundraising opportunities, campaign tools, templates, graphics, donor engagement resources, and promotional materials — all available at no cost through the global Giving Tuesday platform. The momentum continues.
We are excited to continue building connections and collaboration through our ongoing Community Connections events. These gatherings are designed to bring organizations together, foster partnerships, share resources, and create opportunities for engagement and support throughout the year. Our goal is to provide meaningful ways to help nonprofits grow stronger together and increase the collective impact across West Texas.
We encourage you to continue participating in the global Giving Tuesday movement and to take advantage of the many free resources available through their platform as you plan your future campaigns.
